The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Islam is founded on five pillars.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The pillars of Islam are five: Faith is confession and action, and it increases and decreases. [1] Allah the Almighty says: “So that they may increase their faith with their faith” (Surah Al-Fath 48:4); We increased their strength to the right path (Surah Al-Kahf 18:13); and those who are guided, Allah increases their guidance and increases their strength to the right path (Surah Muhammad 47:17). So that the faith of the believers may increase (Surah Al-Muddaththir 74:31), Allah the Almighty also says, “Who among you has this increased in faith? Only those who are believers have increased in faith” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:124), and His words, “So fear them; This increased their faith” (Surah Al-Imran 3/173). “And it increased their faith and obedience” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33/173). “It increased their faith and obedience” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33/22). And loving for the sake of Allah and hating for the sake of Allah are part of faith. ‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul ‘Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote in a letter to ‘Adi ibn ‘Adi (may Allah have mercy on him), “There are some obligations of faith, some rulings, prohibitions and Sunnahs. Whoever fulfills them completely, his faith is complete. And whoever does not fulfill them completely, his faith is not complete. If I am alive, I will soon explain them to you so that you can act upon them. And if I die, then know that your I am not desired for companionship'. Ibrahim (AS) said, 'But this is only for the peace of mind' - (Surah Al-Baqarah 2/26), Mu'adh (RA) said, "Come sit with us, let us discuss faith for a while"; Ibn Mas'ud (RA) said, 'Certainty is complete faith', Ibn 'Umar (RA) said, 'A servant does not attain true piety until he abandons that which causes doubt in his mind'; Mujahid (RA) said in his explanation of this verse, "That is, O Muhammad (PBUH)! "We have enjoined upon you and upon Noah the same religion" (Surah Shura 42/13), Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "That is, the way and the means" (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5/48).
