Police have arrested a madrasa teacher on charges of raping four minor girls inside the madrasa. The arrested teacher has been named as Saiful Islam (35).
Saiful Islam is a teacher at Al-Farooq Islamic Academy in Chatkhil Upazila of Noakhali district.
After receiving multiple complaints from parents, police raided the madrasa on Thursday night and arrested the accused teacher.
Chatkhil Police Station Investigation Officer Mojibur Rahman said, "The accused teacher sexually harassed minor boys inside the madrasa by intimidating them. All the boys are between 10 and 12 years old. We arrested the accused teacher immediately after receiving the complaint."
Police said the arrested teacher was produced before the district court and sent to judicial custody.
