Police have arrested an imam of a mosque in a case filed in the rape of an eight-year-old child in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. On Wednesday afternoon, police arrested Shihab Uddin (25) from Aturkoda village in Nasirnagar upazila. Later, when the police produced Shihab in court, the Brahmanbaria court sent him to jail. Police have arrested a madrasa teacher on charges of raping four minor girls inside a madrasa. The arrested teacher has been identified as Saiful Islam (35). Saiful Islam is a teacher at Al-Farooq Islamic Academy in Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district. After receiving multiple complaints from guardians, the police raided the madrasa on Thursday night and arrested the accused teacher. Chatkhil Police Station Investigation Officer Mojibur Rahman said, “The accused teacher sexually harassed minor boys inside the madrasa by intimidating them.
